Ashburn, VA – Career politician Dick Black’s mail and TV smear campaign against small businessman Shawn Mitchell is based on falsehoods and blatant lies to the voters of the 13th district. Court records prove that Mitchell's former employer denied making the claims that Black is desperately using to smear Mitchell. The employer actually went so far as to call Mitchell a ‘hero’ for his business leadership skills.
Dick Black knows he is too extreme to represent the middle class families in this district, so now he's resorted to desperate lies about Shawn Mitchell,” said Mitchell campaign manager Dominic Gabello. “He should pull down his false television ad immediately and apologize publicly to Shawn for smearing his good name and to voters of the 13th District for his cynical and disgusting campaign.
Dick Black can’t afford to stand on his ineffective record of not creating jobs, voting against decreased class sizes, and failing to come up with a long-term transportation solution. He has resorted to lies and smears about Shawn and the voters deserve better.
Families in Loudoun and Prince William are desperate for a Senator who will create jobs, protect public education funding and finally deliver on transportation relief. Dick Black has failed on these issues time and time again while he focused more on his radical and divisive social agenda. Virginians are better than Dick Black's nasty and dishonest politics as usual and on November 8th they will prove it.
