Thank you so much for all of your support throughout this campaign. While the results didn't turn out the way we wanted last night, we ran a tough, spirited campaign that we are extremely proud of.
We started this campaign with a small list of friends and family and have grown that by leaps and bounds. We knocked on more than 30,000 doors, made more than 10,000 phone calls and raised more than $350,000 from more than 450 unique donors. For a first-time candidate, I'd say that's pretty impressive.
I want to say a special thanks to Senator Mark Warner, Governor Tim Kaine, Terry McAuliffe, Senator Mark Herring, Senator Chuck Colgan, Senator Charlie Waddell, Senator John Chichester, Senator Russ Potts, AOBA, NVTC TechPAC, NV/R PAC, DAAR, PWAR, VEA, LEA, Virginia AFL-CIO, Mid-Atlantic Laborers Council, NARAL Pro-Choice VA, Virginia NOW, VPFF, VALCV, VA Sierra Club, the Washington Post and Loudoun Times-Mirror for their support in this campaign.
